  5. didn't exactly do lunch with his leading, er, bear. On one
  6. occasion, he nearly was lunch for Bart, a 2,000-lb. Kodiak that
  7. wanted to be left alone. Annaud followed Bart and some other
  8. temperamental ursines around for nine months to film The Bear, a
  9. $25 million feature flick about the relationship between a solitary
  10. bear and an orphaned cub. The movie has already subjected Europe
  11. and Japan to a barrage of bear-mania. It opens next month in the
  12. U.S. Certainly gives you paws.
